CobraTek WiFi Manager Review
CobraTek WiFi Manager is a practical software application that displays all Wi-Fi networks within range of your computer with detailed information and allows you to connect to them if the password is known. Using your wireless network adapter, the program detects all the networks around you and shows their name (SSID), encryption type, signal strength, security status, authentication algorithm and whether or not they are connectable. In addition, a built-in database filled with commonly used passwords can be used to attempt a connection by entering a known one, though this function is basically brute forcing and it's recommended you avoid using it on other people's networks.
The program has a clean and intuitive interface that shows all available connections at startup, along with the details of each one. If a new open network is detected, it instantly displays its signal strength and offers to connect to it. Additionally, it lets you create and manage multiple wireless network profiles. In terms of settings, the program can be set to run automatically when Windows starts, stay on top of other windows, shut down your PC after a database scan and change its theme among others.
It's important to note that this program only works on computers running a Microsoft Windows operating system, and it requires the installation of.NET Framework and Visual C++ Redistributable, which the application will offer to install during setup if you don't already have them installed. It's also worth mentioning that the program is ad-free and has no size limit on your download.
